Highland Cemetery Decorating Policies

We are a historic, nonprofit association, founded in 1911. We are one of the few cemeteries in Montana that is run by a private trust and governed by a board of directors. It is our goal to maintain a peaceful, beautiful, and reverent location for you to pay respects to your loved ones.

With that in mind, we have regulations concerning placement of flowers, flags, and other decorations. Since the grounds are maintained with power equipment and watered with underground sprinklers, it is critical that items around the gravesites not cause damage to this equipment and infrastructure. We also have specific guidelines for certain sections and we encourage you to take note of these. Please see the information for each section inside this brochure.
